Dynacraft is looking for a Quality Engineer to help support the Division Quality Team. The Quality Engineer will function as the main contact for warranty and help support division initiatives related to ISO9001:2015 requirements. The ideal candidate has excellent communication skills, is proactive, and has experience working in a manufacturing environment.

Division Information
Dynacraft, a PACCAR Company, is headquartered in McKinney, TX. a suburb of Dallas. Dynacraft is a diversified global manufacturer of PACCAR medium- and heavy-duty truck parts sold under Kenworth, Peterbilt, and DAF nameplates. For fifty years Dynacraft has provided the company’s truck divisions and PACCAR Parts division with high quality components, subassemblies, and specialized services. Dynacraft has production facilities in Louisville, KY, and McKinney, TX.
Job Functions / Responsibilities
- Function as a Quality liaison with customers regarding Quality issues
- Investigate and perform Root Cause Analysis when Quality concerns are identified
- Analyze and process warranty claims
- Review claim information provided by dealers; working independently or with other PACCAR Warranty Teams, Engineering, or Quality to process claims per established guidelines
- Perform additional technical and administrative duties as assigned
- Serve as a subject matter expert for assigned responsibilities
- Additional duties to help support Division Quality initiatives and goals; i.e. Process Documentation and ISO9001:2015 support
- Develop and maintain reports to present on a weekly and/or monthly basis
- Work to release and manage supplier warranty claims ensuring there completion
- Provide technical assistance and training to customers and internal personnel for understanding of warranty and document control requirements
- Lead and support (as required) foundational APQP documentation such as feasibility reviews, production control plans, PFMEA, safe launch plans, etc.
Qualifications
- Experience with ISO9001:2015
- Must have strong communication and negotiation skills, intermediate to advanced skills in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Access
- Must have a good recall of detail and a mechanical aptitude
- Must be self-motivated and able to work in a fast-paced just-in-time environment with rapidly changing objectives
- The ideal candidate will be comfortable with processing large volumes of (claims) data and be able to provide data-driven answers to questions about the material processed
- Ability to remain organized, meet deadlines, and deal with areas of ambiguity
- Understanding of APQP and other Quality Management tools (FMEA, CP, PF)
- Ability to read, understand, and interpret GD&T, engineering drawings and specifications, and translate into part and process requirements
- Demonstrated ability to facilitate team efforts and work under minimal supervision
- Must be able to lift 20 lbs
Education
Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field strongly preferred.
