Requisition Summary

The ideal candidate is proactive in working with suppliers, customers, and production to ensure material availability, premium freight, surplus and obsolete, and inventory turn goals are met. Candidate must be proficient in managing a complex supply chain, directing and leading a team of project coordinators, and managing multiple programs and projects congruently.  Additionally, the ideal candidate will be proficient in SAP’s MRP systems, planning, and data analytics tools.

Job Functions / Responsibilities

  • Supervise and train materials planning team on part and change management-related processes
  • Ensures KPIs or matrices are meeting the departmental and organizational targets
  • Assign and review Engineering Change Notices and assess for potential impact on operations.
  • Plan and monitor for new program launch with materials objectives and deliverables
  • Work in partnership with Engineering and Division Materials, Corporate Quality, Corporate Purchasing, suppliers, and the plants to ensure smooth project implementations
  • Track project implementation status including plant and supplier inventory levels, PPAP status, tooling status, and other critical information
  • Lead supplier and management meetings for material delivery issues
  • Perform material readiness review to maintain implementation schedules and mitigate S&O
  • Analyze overall project impact on materials. Identify and communicate pertinent information regarding lead times, inventory, costs, and project financial risks to management.
  • Prepare and consolidate reports from SAP, Excel, SQL, and other data analytics tools
  • Understanding of demand planning deliverables for the project execution
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Self-motivated, organized, and flexible with the ability to handle the demands of a lean manufacturing environment
  • Constructive written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience in managing direct reports is strongly desired
  • Creative quality and results-driven work ethic
  • Experience managing multiple concurrent projects
  • Microsoft software proficiency (Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint)
  • SAP Materials Requirements Planning (MM) knowledge and experience are strongly desired
  • Working knowledge of statistics, operations management concepts, and EDI

Education

  • Four-year degree in Supply Chain Management or another related field required.
  • Six Sigma training desired.
  • Power BI, Tableau, and Project Planning software training is a plus.
