Division Information

Dynacraft, a PACCAR Company, is headquartered in McKinney, TX. Dynacraft is a diversified global manufacturer of PACCAR medium and heavy-duty truck parts sold under the Kenworth, Peterbilt, and DAF nameplates. For more than forty years, Dynacraft has provided the company’s truck manufacturing divisions and PACCAR Parts service parts division with high quality components, subassemblies and specialized services. Dynacraft’s manufacturing facilities are located in Louisville, KY, and McKinney, TX. 

 

Job Summary

The IT Manager is responsible for providing leadership and oversight of information technology operations for the Louisville facility. This role ensures the reliable delivery of IT services, infrastructure support, business applications, and end-user support while aligning with Dynacraft and PACCAR technology standards. The IT Manager leads local IT resources, supports plant operations, and partners closely with business leaders to identify technology needs and implement solutions that improve efficiency, productivity, and operational performance. This position reports directly to the Head of IT, Dynacraft, and works closely with the Louisville management team and PACCAR Information Technology Division (ITD) teams. This position can be located in McKinney, Texas or Louisville, Kentucky. 

Job Responsibilities

IT Operations and Infrastructure

  • Lead day-to-day IT operations for the Louisville facility.
  • Manage local IT staff and contractors, including coaching, development, and performance management.
  • Ensure the availability, reliability, and security of local infrastructure, networks, hardware, and business systems.
  • Coordinate infrastructure upgrades, system deployments, and technology projects as directed by the Head of IT.
  • Manage local inventory, deployment, and lifecycle management of computers, mobile devices, printers, scanners, and related equipment.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for IT support and escalation within the Louisville facility.

Business Systems Support

  • Support plant operations through the effective use of business applications, ERP systems, manufacturing systems, and reporting tools.
  • Partner with operational leaders to identify process improvement opportunities and technology enhancements.
  • Coordinate user acceptance testing, training, and deployment activities for system changes and upgrades.
  • Support SAP-related business processes and collaborate with corporate IT teams on issue resolution and enhancements.
  • Assist with data integrity initiatives and reporting requirements.

Job Responsibility continuation

Project Leadership

  • Lead site-level IT projects and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Participate in cross-functional teams that support plant operational objectives.
  • Execute technology roadmaps, standards, and initiatives developed by the Head of IT and PACCAR ITD.
  • Ensure project milestones, timelines, and deliverables are achieved.

 Security and Compliance

  • Support the implementation of and adherence to PACCAR and Dynacraft cybersecurity standards and policies.
  • Ensure compliance with IT controls, audit requirements, and access management procedures.
  • Review and recommend user access requests in accordance with established approval processes.
  • Participate in security awareness and compliance initiatives.

Continuous Improvement

  • Identify opportunities to improve system performance, operational efficiency, and user experience.
  • Participate in Lean, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement projects.
  • Monitor and report key operational metrics as assigned by the Head of IT.
  • Support the development of technology solutions that enhance business productivity and service delivery.

Skills and Qualifications

  • Strong understanding of IT infrastructure, networks, hardware, business applications, and end-user support.
  • Working knowledge of cybersecurity principles and IT governance practices.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with operations, leadership, and technical teams.
  • Demonstrated project management and organizational skills.
  • Continuous improvement mindset, with Lean or Six Sigma experience preferred.
  • Experience working with ERP systems, preferably SAP.
  • Proven experience managing technology projects and business system implementations.
  • Minimum of 8 years of progressive information technology experience required.
  • Minimum of 3 to 5 years of leadership or supervisory experience preferred.
  • Experience supporting manufacturing operations is strongly preferred.
  • Experience working with ERP systems, preferably SAP.
  • Proven experience managing technology projects and business system implementations.

Required Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field is required.
  • Master’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
