Division Information

Dynacraft, a PACCAR Company, is headquartered in McKinney, TX. a suburb of Dallas. Dynacraft is a diversified global manufacturer of PACCAR medium- and heavy-duty truck parts sold under Kenworth, Peterbilt, and DAF nameplates. For fifty years Dynacraft has provided the company’s truck divisions and PACCAR Parts division with high quality components, subassemblies, and specialized services. Dynacraft has production facilities in Louisville, KY, and McKinney, TX.

Requisition Summary

Dynacraft is looking for a Program Manager whose primary responsibility will be to develop, and acquire new business opportunities related to PACCAR electrification initiatives.

Job Functions / Responsibilities

 

  • Create successful strategy to obtain new business opportunities with the battery electric vehicle (BEV) program which includes developing a project plan with prospective product lines. 
  • Support electrification project/program scope development.
  • Investigate new product or supply chain opportunities to drive Dynacraft growth through participation in electrification program development.
  • Develop business cases including financial justification for new business opportunities.
  • Build effective relationships and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including Dynacraft and Truck Division engineering teams, PACCAR Purchasing, External Suppliers and Truck Division Operations to ensure program success.
  • Proactively coordinate change in project scope, identify potential crises, and create/mange contingency plans.
  • Communicate program status and issues to senior management and other stakeholders through reports and presentations as requested.
  • Develop best practices, tools and documentation for program execution and coordination.
  • Support and provide feedback during Technical, Concept, and Design Reviews
  • Coordinate with Product Planning, Manufacturing, and PACCAR Parts to understand major program Books of Wishes
  • Perform other duties and special assignments as required.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Product and/or Program Management knowledge gained through a minimum of five years of related experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
  • Self-motivated leader, with the ability to handle multiple tasks with varying schedules and shifting priorities.
  • Excellent interpersonal, negotiation and relationship-building skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Analytical and detail-oriented.
  • Six Sigma trained desired.
  • SAP and Capital Budget experience is a plus.
  • Ability to manage and work through ambiguity.
  • Creative problem solver with strong application of process improvement methodologies.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
  • Strong business acumen with the ability to seek out and proactively develop opportunities leading to successful award of new business bids.
  • Approximately 25-50% travel.

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in Engineering or Business Administration.
  • Master’s degree in Engineering or Business Administration preferred.
  • PMP a plus.
