Dynacraft is looking for an energetic leader to have a significant impact as the Assistant Manager of Manufacturing Engineering for the McKinney, TX facility. The primary role of this position is managing, prioritizing, and reporting on the activities of the plant’s manufacturing engineering team. This position is responsible for supporting capital planning, developing manufacturing strategies to support new business, and actively improving existing operations. Job Functions / Responsibilities

  • Participate in plant improvement activities such as Safety Reviews, Quality Corrective Action meetings, and Production meetings, as representative of the Manufacturing Engineering team.
  • Leads training, mentorship, and development of Manufacturing Engineers.
  • Support development, implementation, and tracking of capital budget projects to complete on-time and within budget.
  • Coordinate resources and schedules across departments and provides guidance for overall project execution.
  • Prioritizes work efforts of Manufacturing Engineers to support both Production and Project needs.
  • Support the management team by increasing the visibility of the improvement or project plans as well as visibility of the potential risks.
  • Provides strategic guidance of Manufacturing strategies and equipment based on current and future market demands.
  • Develop and drive a strong culture of high performance, excellent quality, and teamwork.
  • Provide guidance on operations performance metrics improvements.
  • Participate in developing and executing departmental goals and objectives including department budget.
  • Continuously improve the production process through improvements to equipment, tools, procedures or other factors impacting production capability.
  • Responsible for installation and rearrangement of plant and production equipment ensuring projects are completed on-time and within budget.
  • Ensure compliance with Corporate and Division policies, procedures and standards.
  • Perform other projects and assignments as required

Qualifications

  • Knowledge of Lean and Six Sigma methodologies.
  • Demonstrated ability to successfully lead and influence others.
  • Excellent technical, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work within deadlines to achieve goals.
  • Previous experience in a simultaneous engineering project environment desired.
  • Capital project management experience using PACCAR CBSR.
  • Excellent computer skills required in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Data visualization using Tableau or PowerBI desired.
  • Ability to communicate with all levels of the organization.
  • Strong PC skills, including proficiency in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Familiarity with drafting programs including AutoCad, .
  • Strong mechanical aptitude, with the ability to read and interpret hydraulic and pneumatic schematics.
  • Understand industrial electricity, be able to read and interpret electrical schematics, understand NEC codes and Arc Flash requirements for voltages up to 480V.
  • General fabrication and design knowledge and familiarity with shop equipment.

Education

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering Required (Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or Manufacturing).
  • Master’s Degree in Engineering or MBA Preferred.
  • Three (3) years Manufacturing Engineering Experience Required.
  • Three (3) to Five (5) years Engineering Management Experience Preferred.
