SHORT DESCRIPTION: The Safety Intern will assist the Dynacraft Louisville safety team in providing a safe and healthful working environment to approx. 700 employees and managers within a 150,000 sq. ft. facility.  This is a chance for the right student to apply their knowledge and gain valuable experience in a complex manufacturing environment.  The Safety Intern will be a valuable contributor to the Dynacraft Safety Program.




  1. Perform safety auditing and inspection duties of work areas, documentation files, and safety record keeping systems.
  2. Research hazards and respective controls to develop proposals for process improvements.
  3. Research and develop safety procedures for assigned tasks, under the supervision and guidance of Dynacraft safety professionals.
  4. Research and develop a customized Dynacraft audit instrument, under the supervision and guidance of Dynacraft safety professionals.
  5. Perform Job Hazard Analyses (JHS) on a variety of tasks.
  6. Assess ergonomic hazards as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  7. Special projects and additional duties as assigned.






Education and Experience

  • Working toward a Bachelor’s Degree or Master’s Degree in Occupational Safety and Health, Industrial Hygiene, Ergonomics, or closely related discipline at an accredited university or college.


Work Environment

  • Safety or steel toed shoes, safety glasses hearing protection are required
  • Cement Floors
  • Work stations have height adjustable tables
  • No wet surfaces
  • Limited use of solvents, detergents, and chemicals.
