Requisition Summary

 

Dynacraft is looking for a Lead Manufacturing Engineer for the Louisville, KY facility whose primary responsibility will be coordinating and prioritizing the activities of the manufacturing engineering team. This position will also be responsible for high-level reporting of team activities and strategic planning in coordination with the Manufacturing Engineering Manager.

 

Job Functions / Responsibilities

  • Participate in plant improvement activities such as Safety Reviews, Quality Corrective Action meetings, and Production meetings, as representative of the Manufacturing Engineering function.
  • Leads training, mentorship, and development of Manufacturing Engineers assigned.
  • Support development, implementation, and tracking of capital budget projects to complete on-time and in budget.
  • Coordinate resources and schedules across departments and provides guidance for overall project execution.
  • Prioritizes work efforts of Manufacturing and Controls Engineers to support both Production and Project needs.
  • Support the management team by increasing the visibility of the improvement or project plans as well as visibility of the potential risks.
  • Provides strategic guidance of Manufacturing strategies and equipment based on current and future market demands

 

Qualifications & Skills

  • Knowledge of Lean and Six Sigma methodologies.
  • Demonstrated ability to successfully lead and influence others.
  • Excellent technical, verbal, and written communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work within deadlines to achieve goals.
  • Previous experience in a simultaneous engineering project environment desired.
  • Capital project management experience using PACCAR CBSR.
  • Excellent computer skills required in Microsoft Word and Excel.

 

Education/Training Required

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering Required (Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or Manufacturing), Master’s Degree in Engineering or MBA Preferred.
  • Three (3) years Manufacturing Engineering Experience Required.
  • Three (3) to Five (5) years Engineering Management Experience Preferred
