PACCAR Financial facilitates the sale of premium-quality PACCAR vehicles in 20 countries on three continents worldwide by offering a full spectrum of creative, flexible financial products and value-added services specifically tailored to the transportation industry. 

Job Functions & Responsibilities

  • Analysis and visualization of structured and unstructured data
  • Understanding of data models and how they support key decisions and key performance indications (KPI’s).
  • Creating ad-hoc reports and visualizations for executive leadership, enabling data driven decisions in sales, marketing and operations.
  • Development of Tableau Reports with a strong understanding of advanced Tableau features and capabilities.
  • Communicate with stakeholders to gather business requirements and translate them into technical designs
  • Development of Tableau Reports with a strong understanding of advanced Tableau features and capabilities.
  • Building interactive, customizable reports and designing and creating data visualizations and maintaining complex Tableau dashboards.
  • Creating analytical reports by blending data from multiple sources on a single worksheet in Tableau.
  • Building, defining, executing and Interpreting SQL queries.
  • Analyzing data, defining requirements and developing documentation.
  • Optimizing performance of Tableau dashboards by enhancing data models and streaming complex queries.
  • Leading complex projects and mentor/helping Interns and contribute strategic planning.
  • Providing training users on how to navigate and use Tableau dashboards and support to resolve issues.
  • Managing Tableau administration tasks, such as setting permissions, managing user ownership, and adding users to appropriate groups.
  • Supporting ad hoc requests from PFC business units.

Qualifications & Skills

  • 7+ years of experience in large-scale software development with emphasis on data modeling and database development
  • 3-5 years of experience with BI Tools (e.g. Power BI, Tableau)
  • 3-5 years of experience with relational databases (e.g. SQL Server, Oracle) as well as cloud data platforms (e.g. Snowflake) and SQL coding
  • Ability to communicate effectively (both orally and in writing) with business users, project team leaders and application developers
  • Experience participating in Agile/Scrum projects in a highly collaborative, multi-discipline team environment
  • Proficiency with ETL tools and techniques (e.g. SSIS, Attunity, Informatica, Power Query)
  • Strong command over SQL programming (e.g. PL/SQL, T-SQL)

Education

Master's degree in computer science or related field required.
