Kenworth Truck Company is the manufacturer of The World’s Best® heavy and medium duty trucks. Requisition Summary

The Kenworth Zero Emissions Engineering Department is seeking motivated engineers to join our team.

 

Here are the expectations for this role:

  • Lead electrical system development from definition to production release
  • Maintain a deep understanding of electrical system functional and technical requirements
  • Conduct risk analysis, and create validation test plans using six sigma tools
  • Learn and practice new technical and leadership skills
  • Recognize, communicate, and mitigate or avoid risk design development
  • Create and oversee the creation of technical drawings for electrical systems
  • Have the capability to present your work to peers as well as management
  • Prepare work estimates for time and budget
  • Create technical reports and track Engineering KPIs

 

Required Skills:

  • BS in Mechanical, Electrical, or similar engineering discipline
  • Strong written and verbal communication
  • 3+ years of experience in mechanical or electrical engineering design roles
  • Ability to manage projects with tight time constraints
  • Ability to work with vague direction by being resourceful and taking initiative
  • Ability to constantly prioritize and organize workload

 

Preferred Skills:

  • Creo Parametric or other 3d CAD tool
  • Mentor Graphics or similar electrical design tool
