Position Summary

Kenworth Truck Company is seeking a skilled and motivated Sales/Market Research Manager to join our sales operations team. The Sales/Market Research Manager will manage Kenworth market forecasts, tracking, analyzing, and reporting processes. Strong data analytical skills, research acumen and communication skills are essential to be successful in this role. Job Functions / Responsibilities

• Manage Kenworth reporting processes for key marketing metrics, including retail sales, net orders, Polk registrations, and other data.
• Develop strategic marketing reports to identify and explain key business trends.
• Analyze sales data to track product and identify market trends.
• Work closely with the Corporate Strategic Planning department to maintain forecasts.
• Provide market benchmark analysis to identify competitive opportunities and threats.
• Lead Kenworth marketing analytics initiatives.
• Manage system administration for Vehicle Registration.
• Develop new dashboards and other creative processes for analyzing, tracking, visualizing, and presenting market intelligence data.
• Represent Kenworth at industry events, maintaining relationships with key industry analysts and research organizations.
• Analyze industry and customer data to prepare market size, model mix and other marketing forecasts.
• Optimize data gathering, analysis and reporting processes.
• Prepare and present selected economic and industry reports to key management personnel.
• Support sales and senior management with data analysis as required.
• Support the Sales Operations Departments on project implementations

Qualifications /Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in business administration, marketing, statistics, or appropriate field required; MBA or advanced degree is highly desirable.
• 2-5 years related experience in the trucking industry desired. 
• Effective verbal and written communications skills; ability to work with senior management.
• Strong PC skills including working with Access databases and Excel spreadsheets required.
• Experience with creating Tableau dashboards desired.
• Demonstrated research acumen.
• Strong analytical skills.
• Up to 10% travel required
