Requisition Summary
Works as part of a team responsible for maintaining Kenworth bills of material and selection logic integrity and processing Engineering Change Notices (ECNs) to support timely project implementations. Effectively manages multiple work requests and balances competing priorities to complete assigned tasks. Identifies opportunities for continuous improvement in day to day activities.

 

Job Functions / Responsibilities
•    Creates and maintains bills of material (parts lists and work instructions) required to support Kenworth truck production
•    Interprets and translates source document information into computer language to define product configurations and part requirements
•    Communicates with engineers and change control to ensure correct interpretation and implementation of design documentation
•    Supports completion of ECN bill of material and selection updates to support project launch timing and minimize plant rework
•    Investigates identified implementation issues and processes feedback to update bill of material files
•    Supports creation of new sales option code content
•    Communicates issue and/or project status updates to stakeholders in various levels of the PACCAR organization
•    Participates in continuous improvement initiatives
•    Completes other assignments as requested by BOM/Selection group supervisor
 
 
Qualifications & Skills
•    Associates degree in business, math or technical field required; Bachelor’s degree a plus
•    Excellent attention to detail 
•    High level of initiative and demonstrated use of proactive problem solving approach
•    Excellent communication skills
•    Must be able to work with a diverse set of stakeholders and manage multiple tasks concurrently
•    Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite required; experience with PCMs and CMS-80 desired
•    Lean training a plus
•    Previous automotive and/or manufacturing experience/truck knowledge a plus
