Requisition Summary

The Kenworth marketing team is seeking a skilled and motivated manager to join our fast-paced, growing organization. The Marketing Operations Manager will be responsible for show truck and trade show management and will focus on ensuring Kenworth has the right product mix representation at industry events.  This role is critical to the growth of Kenworth sales and marketing! We need a hybrid professional who pays meticulous attention to detail, is highly organized, can work to a deadline, and is apprised of industry.

 

 

Here is what you will do in this role:

Marketing and Sales Fleet Management

  • Facilitate conventional and electric truck moves and coordinate detailing for the fleet in various trade shows, customer events, and corporate functions.

  • Optimize routes and source alternative vendors to minimize truck shipping costs.

  • Implement cost saving measures to reduce yearly spend.

  • Negotiate supplier-leased truck terms and conduct application audits to ensure compliance.  

  • Track components on each trade show truck and bill suppliers in accordance with agreement terms.

  • Plate and license each truck in state of operation.

Fleet Demos

  • Manage the 5 sales demo trucks across North America, including licensing, insuring, and leasing, where applicable.

  • Coordinate charging plan for all trade shows, customer events and corporate functions, including hardware and software compatibility.

New Product Support

  • Secure customers for QV and VV pilot programs.

  • Order prototype parts for marketing fleet.

  • Manage retrofits when production parts become available.

Trade Show Management

  • Serve as industry Point of Contact for trade show event coordinators

  • Register Kenworth for approved trade show participation

  • Coordinate booth layout with selected vendor

  • Remit payment and track expenses, provide monthly report to Marketing Director

  • Order collateral and giveaways for shows

  • Coordinate with customers to feature trucks in trade show booths.

 

Qualifications and Skills:

Interpersonal

  • A candidate for this position must have an ability to prioritize tasks, complete multiple tasks in a timely manner, be flexible and welcoming to change, and be self-motivated.

  • The candidate should have strong communication skills and act as a gateway to efficient and effective cross-functional collaboration.

Leadership/People

  • The candidate must additionally demonstrate strong leadership qualities and ability to influence both cross-functional teams and top management.

  • Candidate must be capable of presenting sales and marketing initiatives to the leadership team.

Experience

  • Ideal candidate seeks to stay up to date with the latest products and technologies.

  • Demonstrated relevant work experience and project management

    • Possesses familiarity with one or more of the following:

      • Kenworth products

      • Trade show event planning

      • In-depth marketing experience

General:

  • Bachelor's Degree required. Masters’ Degree a plus.

  • Travel up to 25% of the time. Ability to travel more is considered a plus.  

  • CDL or willingness to obtain a CDL a plus.
