Division Information

Kenworth Truck Company is the manufacturer of The World’s Best® heavy and medium duty trucks. Kenworth is an industry leader in providing fuel-saving technology solutions that help increase fuel efficiency and reduce emissions. Requisition Summary

The successful candidate provides effective, comprehensive support to the Human Resources department and employees in the areas of staffing, benefits, employee relations, regulatory compliance and training. 


Job Functions / Responsibilities

•    Collaborate with HR leadership on projects and initiatives that are valuable to supporting the strategic priorities of the organization and division
•    Work with recruitment team on staffing related support activities, including onboarding new employees and transfers
•    Partner with managers on corrective action, salary administration, attendance management, recognition programs, performance management, promotions, onboarding/exit programs
•    Support investigations to handle operational/employee relations issues
•    Provide first point of contact to employees and managers for questions and concerns
•    Support positive employee relations and engagement through safety and wellness programs, compensation reviews, and employee communications
•    Maintain employee files and training records
•    Perform payroll system entry and audit reports
•    Prepare a variety of standard and customized reports required both internally and by regulatory agencies

 

 Qualifications & Skills

•    Bachelor's degree in business, HR or related field required. Master's degree desired 
•    2+ years of applicable HR experience
•    Working knowledge of FMLA, ADA, Affirmative Action Plans, Safety and Worker’s Compensation
•    Outstanding communication skills, influencing abilities, and customer service orientation
•    Ability to work with employees and managers at all levels of the organization
•    Demonstrated analytical and organizational skills, ability to work independently, prioritize and proactively meet deadlines
•    Strong PC skills required, SAP and TEAMS desired
•    Professional Human Resources Certification: PHR/SPHR, SHRM-CP/SHRM-SCP desired
