Job Functions / Responsibilities

  • Serve as a liaison between the Fleet Sales Manager/Regional Sales Manager and Kenworth Division Management.  
  • Develops pricing proposals for large fleet customers.  Proposals are typically for varying configurations over multiple years.  The Fleet Sales Pricing Manager will manage pricing proposals to ensure they are logical and consistent with Kenworth Divisional goals for margin, market share and product mix.  Similarly, the Fleet Sales Pricing Manager will ensure the proposal is competitive for each specific customer and is logical as compared to deals for like customers.  To ensure accuracy of the proposal, this person will keep abreast of future cost impacts, future product launches and will incorporate these items in fleet deal proposals. 
  • Field custom warranty quotes.
  • Process CARS as required
  • Participate in the development and maintenance of existing and proposed sales related tools (Smartsheet, Prospector, CARS)
  • Contribute to the development of promotions for truck sales
  • Coordinate and manage daily/weekly sales forecasts from the field

Qualifications & Skills

  • Bachelor's Degree Business, Marketing, Accounting or other related field required. Masters preferred.
  • 5+ years of relevant work experience;
  • Ability to multi –task and handle variances in workflow
  • Must be able to communicate well to senior management.
  • Willingness to work extended hours when necessary
  • Must have strong data analysis skills including both excel and access
  • Ability to configure a chassis in Prospector, and/or CARS experience a plus
  • Background in accounting, pricing, or sales a plus
