 Requisition Summary 

 

Global Sales’ Export Sales Engineer is responsible for managing various aspects of export sales activity and maintaining accurate and consistent transaction records. This is a highly technical position, and the ideal candidate would have a strong mechanical aptitude and business acumen. The role requires a high degree of accuracy, and the ability to navigate through PACCAR's database systems. Successful candidates are self-motivated and interested in pursuing growth opportunities within the international market. This position is based in Kirkland, WA.

 

Job Functions / Responsibilities

  • Prepare truck specifications, customer quotations and process orders for Global Sales export dealers.

  • Ensure credit approvals are secured with export orders.

  • Record and manage details of all export orders in Export OPS system and SAP.

  • Manage required export order documents in DocuWare.

  • Organize and manage export bid-tender requests with specification compliance reviews and quote preparation.

  • Manage bodybuilder quotes, orders, scheduling, and inspections as needed.

  • Lead Export Product Committee reviews.

  • Manage chassis Change Orders to advise Global Sales team of issues.

  • Manage delivery of long-lead time major components with respective vendors.

  • Maintain truck order backlog tracking and generate weekly status reports.

  • Confirm vehicle delivery schedules and international shipment terms with Logistics manager.

  • Create general purchase orders as needed and route for approval.

  • Host international customers visiting PACCAR facilities or bodybuilder locations as needed.

  • Update and distribute revised export Pricing Worksheets, as revisions are received from Kenworth.

  • Manage Export Custom Parts and Service Manual orders.

  • Provide dealer and customer product/systems training.

  • Support other activities from time to time within the team as needed.

 

Qualifications & Skills  

  • Bachelor’s degree required.  Engineering or Business degree preferred.

  • 3+ years’ experience in automotive engineering, marketing, sales, or accounting, required. PACCAR experience preferred.

  • Exhibits key decision making, leadership, and interpersonal skills in current or previous roles.

  • Strong technical aptitude and understanding of Kenworth products.

  • Excellent oral/written communication skills.

  • Ability to establish effective professional and working relationships with within PACCAR and its suppliers.

  • Able to work well under pressure and handle multiple priorities.

  • Detail oriented, accurate, with strong analytical skills.

  • Ability and readiness to travel, including possible overseas trips, up to 15%.

  • Fluency in Excel, SAP, CMS-80, and PremierSpec, preferred.

The salary range for Export Sales Engineer is $80,800 - $126,600 annually. This position is also eligible for a holiday gift.
