PACCAR Embedded Engineering
PACCAR Embedded Engineering is a rapidly expanding organization that is transforming the way control systems and software are developed for commercial vehicle applications. Position Summary
The Dash Lamp Reduction Supervisor works within the PACCAR Embedded Engineering organization and leads the dash lamp improvement activities. This role provides direct oversight of the day to day operations of the team while coordinating with groups across multiple PACCAR locations. The team’s primary goal is to reduce the number of issues that lead to high lamps on time. Activities involve defining issues, applying known solutions to top customers, organizing campaigns, and providing training to key customers and their dealers. This position collaborates with an international, cross-functional team from manufacturing, service, product development, information technology, suppliers, and product validation. Individual creativity in addressing diagnostic challenges and opportunities is encouraged while working within a supportive team to develop superior solutions for the heavy-duty truck industry.
Job Functions/Responsibilities
- Managing all aspects of dash lamp reduction and bringing solutions to our customers; including supervising, personnel development, team building, proportioning workload, and tracking progress
- Organize campaigns for dash lamp reduction, organize customer visits, and organize training for our customers
- Responsible for tracking all aspects of active projects, providing periodic status updates to management, managing projects through all tollgates, and insuring the use of Design for Six Sigma tools
- Up to 15% travel (domestic & international)
Qualification & Skills
- B.S. in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineer, or Computer Science required; Master’s degree and/or P.E. license preferred
- Must demonstrate an ability to perform in a fast-paced, results-oriented environment, manage multiple simultaneous projects, and respond dynamically to shifting priorities
- Overall product knowledge is required, along with the ability to provide group leadership and management of the team
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Commercial vehicle background including J1939, service, and vehicle controls
- 7+ years of automotive electrical, electronic, and software design experience, preferably within PACCAR
- PACCAR plant and service experience are desirable. Preference will be given to candidates with software design and release, multiplexed communications, diagnostics, powertrain, and/or other embedded systems leadership experience
- Previous supervisory and/or leadership experience preferred
- A keen understanding of manufacturing and dealer service environments including service technician needs
- Strong knowledge of automotive-embedded electronic control systems

The salary range for Dash Lamp Supervisor is $ 102,700 - $160,700 annually. This position is also eligible for a holiday gift. Additionally, this role is eligible for the full range of benefit options listed above.
