Job Functions / Responsibilities:


  • Participate in the definition, development and validation of electrified powertrains for heavy-duty trucks.
  • Work in a collaborative small-team environment to explore and evaluate advanced vehicle technologies.
  • Be the lead person responsible for the concept, design and implementation of controls architecture and coding to support advanced technologies projects.
  • Gain and apply broad product knowledge to implement new technologies to meet changing requirements in the heavy-duty truck market.
  • Work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment with internal and external organizations to explore and test future technologies.
  • Utilize Pro/E to create optimized parts and assembly of complex designs.
  • Leverage internal product development processes and Six Sigma skills to ensure high quality results, manage progress and report updates.


Qualifications & Skills:


  • 4-year degree required; Master’s degree in business or engineering and P.E. certificate are preferred
  • 3+ years of experience in the specification and design of complex automotive components required; proficient in the use of Pro/E or other similar solid modeling software.
  • Competence in the use of personal computer software such as word processing, database, and spreadsheets
  • Familiarity with project management methods and tools
  • Candidate should be willing to make use of engineering processes and techniques and be resourceful in solving complex technical problems
  • Requires independent judgment and effective project management.
  • Ability to manage costs, time and resources; strong communication skills.
