PACCAR Leasing, a PACCAR division, was founded in 1980 to provide premium Kenworth and Peterbilt vehicles to leasing and rental customers. Requisition Summary

PACCAR Leasing is searching for talented individuals to join our PacLease Intern Team for 2019! The selected individual will work in our shop in Hickory Hills, IL. Our Diesel Truck Technician Internship will last between 3-6 months. We are looking to fill two part-time Interns or one full-time intern to work 2nd shift.

Job Functions / Responsibilities

  • Perform diagnostic inspections on general truck-tractor systems utilizing both mechanical diagnostics and system software diagnostics.
  • Perform preventative maintenance inspection of truck-tractor components.
  • Perform repairs to truck-tractor components.
  • Complete required paperwork to reflect hours, parts and lube, which are utilized within each job function.
  • Ability to work with little or no supervision.
  • Make road calls when component failure is in remote location.
  • Ability to work in a team based environment.
  • Provide superior customer service to clients.
  • Must be able to work 2nd shift: 2:30 - 11:00 pm. Employees who work 2nd shift earn a 5% shift differential.

Qualifications

  • Safety conscious and knowledge of general shop safety.
  • Capable of completing job functions and without repeat repairs.
  • Basic Knowledge of DOT and CVSA rules and requirements.

 

Education

  • High School Diploma required.
  • Pursuing technical education (i.e. UTI) is preferred.
