PACCAR, global manufacturer of heavy-duty transportation equipment, including Kenworth, Peterbilt, and DAF trucks, seeks a Regulatory Senior Engineer to support emissions regulations at its Technical Center in Farmington Hills, Michigan.  Learn more at www.paccar.com.



Job Responsibilities:

  • Lead CARB and EPA emissions & Greenhouse Gas (GHG) regulation guidance within the entire PACCAR organization
  • Communicate emissions & GHG regulation / regulatory requirements, agency expectations & corporate policies to the entire PACCAR organization
  • Participate in emissions & GHG regulation rulemaking development with CARB & EPA
  • Review PACCAR proposed powertrain architectures to assess emissions & GHG compliance impact
  • Support a weekly regulatory compliance guidance meeting to provide emissions & GHG regulation guidance to the entire PACCAR organization
  • Participate in industry meetings (EMA, SAE, etc.) for awareness and to inform key stakeholders within PACCAR

 

Qualifications:

  • Comprehensive understanding of CARB & EPA emissions regulations
  • Diesel engine, Hybrid, or H2ICE experience preferred
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a regulatory compliance organization
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in either emissions or GHG regulatory compliance, certification, controls, calibration, validation, or verification activities
  • Experience with industry meetings impacting emissions & GHG compliance such as EMA, SAE, AAI, etc.
  • Experience in preparing and presenting technical information to management
  • Proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio
  • Works well independently and in a team environment
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Interested in working in a dynamic organization

 

Education:

  • Undergraduate degree (ABET accredited) in engineering or other related science disciplines
  • Advanced technical degree (Masters) preferred
