Requisition Summary

Peterbilt Motors Inc. is seeking a detail-oriented and analytical professional to join our team as a Warranty Specialist. This role will be responsible for managing technical reviews of warranty claims, ensuring customer satisfaction, and supporting continuous product improvements by interfacing with various departments.

Job Functions / Responsibilities

  • Analyze and process technical warranty claims.
  • Review claim information provided by dealers and, working independently or with the Supplier Recovery team, Engineering or Quality, to process claims per established guidelines.
  • Demonstrate ability to identify, prioritize, analyze, and successfully resolve customers, dealers, and field service organization problems, giving a high priority to customer satisfaction. 
  • Interfacing professionally and effectively with others (internal and external) in resolving warranty claims and/or issues.
  • Serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) and perform additional technical and administrative duties as assigned.
  • Conduct necessary investigation of warranty and field service information.
  • Stay current on Field Service and Plant activities.
  • Participate in corrective action processes using Six Sigma methodologies and tools (training provided), as required
  • Travel for this position is not required.

Skills / Competencies

  • Bachelor’s Degree Required.
  • Technical Certifications in the following areas a plus:
  • Service Engineering, Automotive, Heavy Duty etc.
  • One or more year’s industry related experience
  • Strong ability to recall details and process information
  • Mechanical aptitude and Technical Knowledge
  • Must be self-motivated and able to work in a fast paced just-in-time environment with rapidly changing objectives
  • Handle multiple tasks, take initiative, be a team player, problem solver, and critical thinker
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
  • The ideal candidate will be comfortable processing large volumes of data/warranty claims
