Requisition Summary

The Used Equipment Location Manager located in Denton, TX will represent PACCAR Financial Used Truck operations for the re-marketing of PACCAR equipment to the PACCAR dealer network and independent dealers. Additional responsibilities will include assistance in the development and implementation of the company’s used equipment sales plan, adhere to company policies and procedures, manage on-site staff; and be responsible for day-to-day used truck operations including establishing values, support coordinating inspections and appraisals, minimizing refurbishment and after-sale expenses, managing inventory and working with dealerships, customers and PFC Area Offices to meet the strategic initiatives of PFC.


Job Functions / Responsibilities


  • Manage day-to-day sales and service operations at the Used Truck Center.
  • Maximize the resale value of PACCAR products through effective marketing and wholesale sales of used equipment in PFC inventory.
  • Execute the Used Truck Center business plan, and further develop the marketing and sales activities to achieve objectives.
  • Establish and maintain strong working relationships with commercial truck dealers in assigned territory.
  • Coordinate and manage administrative support for the Used Equipment Sales Department, including the sale and purchase of equipment, repairs, reconditioning, transportation or storage.
  • Research used truck market, used truck values and provide input as requested for trade package support, repossessed vehicle valuations and other business needs.
  • Monitor existing internal controls and ensure Used Truck Center compliance with established policies and procedures.
  • Supervise sales representatives and general shop technicians including setting goals and priorities, monitoring workload, coaching, training and performance management.


Qualifications and Skills


  • Minimum three to five years of experience managing teams or departments.
  • Minimum five to eight years of experience working with or selling heavy equipment, preferably in the transportation industry.
  • Self-motivated and disciplined with good organization and time management skills.
  • Demonstrated success, in-depth used truck knowledge, and ability to appraise and maximize the resale value of used equipment.
  • Thorough understanding of truck dealerships and dealer/OEM relationships.
  • Ability to modify communication style to negotiate and communicate with a variety of internal and external stakeholders and customers.
  • Executive presence, and strong interpersonal, communication and presentation skills
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills, including Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint.
  • Willingness to travel




  • Bachelor's degree in finance, business, or related field required. Graduate degree preferred.
  • Heavy tonnage crane certification a plus
  • Valid Class A CDL strongly preferred
