Requisition Summary

Develop, author, and publish field repair documents, Federal Safety and Emissions Recalls, and other information intended for Peterbilt dealer service technicians and customers. 

Job Functions / Responsibilities

  • Write, edit and coordinate the production of written and visual service information.
  • Author and publish documents utilizing applications similar to ePortal (DealerNet), DITA XML, Photoshop, and Pro-E.
  • Research product information based on input from subject matter experts (SME), engineering design, and production.
  • Serve as liaison between multiple internal and external groups.
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
  • Provide technical and administrative support for dealers and customers.
  • Define vehicle populations and mailing list for field actions utilizing tools such as Tableau, Microsoft Excel and/or Access.
  • Collect and prepare campaign cost estimate information.

Required Qualifications / Skills

  • BA/BS or equivalent required.
  • Strong computer skills with MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Access, SharePoint.
  • Good organizational, schedule management and reporting skills.
  • Ability to work on diverse tasks and projects with minimal guidance.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and a team player.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and concisely in verbal and written format.
  • Attention to details.

Preferred Qualifications / Skills

  • General knowledge of truck systems and components
  • Engineering, manufacturing, or dealer experience.
  • Working knowledge of publishing via multiple structured topic based tools such as DITA XML
  • Experience reading engineering specifications, schematics and drawings.
  • Standard PACCAR travel requirements, as needed, up to 25%.

Education

A Bachelor's Degree or equivalent is required.
