Requisition Summary

The Infrastructure Analyst role is to ensure efficient operation of Peterbilt’s servers, and applications.  This includes implementing, maintaining, monitoring and diagnosing server hardware/software and applications.  This position will also research and propose new hardware and software to keep systems up to date on new technology. This position also works with PACCAR Information Technology Division (ITD) to make sure published standards are being followed.

Job Functions / Responsibilities

  • Install and maintain server hardware and software primarily in a VMware and Windows environment
  • Administrate Test, Certification, and Production IIS and SQL environments
  • Liaison with in-house development and external vendors to ensure applications are successfully deployed through the change control process.
  • Perform backup and restore of all systems including VMware guest file systems, windows file shares, SQL Server database and transaction logs and IIS web content.
  • Assist customers with hardware and software problems and requests.
  • Monitor system performance metrics and provide capacity planning to meet application SLAs.
  • Research and propose possible hardware and software.
  • Evaluates, justifies, and implements tools and techniques designed to automate work activities.
  • Ensure compliancy with asset management, software license management, data security, and Sarbanes – Oxley audit requirements.
  • Lead technical projects as assigned.
  • Respond timely to after-hours/weekend calls from help desk or onsite IT staff
  • Resolve incident reports and service requests according to documented service level agreements. 

Skills / Competencies

  • Prefer strong technical knowledge of Windows Servers, VMware ESX.   Working knowledge Rubrik, SAN Technology, SCCM, MS SQL Server, MS SQL Reporting Services, and IIS. 
  • Experience supporting Dell server hardware.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.

Required:  4 year college degree
Preferred:  Degree in Business Computer Information Systems and Microsoft MCSE/MCSA/MCDBA Certification.
