Requisition Summary

The Peterbilt Marketing Operations team has a position available for a Pricing Analyst. This exciting opportunity aids in the collaboration and development of pricing strategy, achieved through daily interaction with Market Segment Managers, the SmartSpec team, Corporate Purchasing, and Engineering. Primary responsibilities would include option costing, creating list prices, new product introduction, and option price strategy.

Job Functions / Responsibilities

  • Validate accuracy of option costing BOM (bill of material) structures.
  • Create, review and update option cost workups in OMS (options management system).
  • Maintain option, option/model, configuration and price/weight data in OMS and OPS (order processing system).
  • Interact with suppliers, engineering, BOM/Selection, Corporate Purchasing and others as necessary to establish a credible cost basis and list price for new component installations.
  • Monitor the OMD (options management dashboard) and ensure that required new options and/or option maintenance is completed per the schedule for each new SmartSpec release.
  • Maintaining a strategic approach to option section pricing.
  • Improve department efficiency with a focus on process improvement through Lean projects and Continuous Improvement projects.
  • Researching opportunities to reduce cost and grow margin.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Detail oriented and strong analytical skills
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks concurrently
  • Exhibits diligence and perseverance to achieve the objective
  • Strong product knowledge (truck models, option offerings, component installations.)
  • Familiarity with "bills of material" and "option costing structures."
  • Well versed on computer mainframe systems and PC applications (OPS, COPICS, Access, Excel, Word.)
  • Familiarity with other PC applications a plus (OMS, OAR/TOA, PCMS, VOG, ECAT, SharePoint, ReportWeb.)
  • Effective communication skills with other individuals inside and outside of the company.
  • 3 years PACCAR experience with 2 years in a related position or 5 years experience in a related industry required.

Education

Bachelors degree in Marketing, advertising, communications or equivalent program.
