The position is responsible for managing Peterbilt’s demand planning group. The position leads the design, development, and implementation of programs and processes related to demand planning of Peterbilt material.

Job Functions / Responsibilities

• Direct manager for 10-12 employees.

• Establish and sustain standards that support production schedules.

• Champion process improvement to lower costs and improve materials availability, and actively recommend and implement improvements to processes, equipment, and working conditions.

• Responsible for managing inventory level and part demand planning activities.

• Develop and monitor Key Performance Indicators for department

• Developing and Leading Material flow strategy and vision.

• Maintain communication of parts availability with production and materials personnel.

• Perform special projects as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Technical truck knowledge preferred.
  • Experience managing production, materials or logistics in the automotive industry preferred.
  • Five years of previous supervisory experience.
  • Experience with general materials metrics, materials flow, and inventory measures.
  • Proven success with change management utilizing tools such as Lean manufacturing and six sigma.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple demands and distribute resources accordingly.
  • Ability to perform production planning and resource coordination.
  • Take initiative and champion improvement projects through completion.

Education Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or related field required.
  • Master’s degree in Business Administration or related field preferred.
