Requisition Summary

This position will report to the Battery Electric Vehicle Engineering supervisor within Peterbilt Division Engineering. This position is located in Denton, TX.

Job Functions / Responsibilities

Designing, integrating and deploying Battery Electric Vehicles.

Qualifications / Skills

 

  • Thorough knowledge of Peterbilt products and processes including PCP Tollgate experience.
  • Strong vehicle systems background.
  • Expertise with modeling complex systems with dynamic and thermal considerations and emphasis on weight control of a commercial vehicle.
  • Understanding of High Voltage DC power systems, energy storage, inverters, motors, cabling & routing, charging, troubleshooting, design.
  • High level of initiative and demonstrated problem solving experience.
  • Excellent communication & presentation skills.

Qualifications / Skills Continued

  • Must be able to work with a diverse set of stakeholders (PACCAR Divisions, Suppliers & Customers) and manage multiple tasks concurrently.
  • Manufacturing experience desired.
  • Must be willing to Travel, including internationally.
  • Experience with Microsoft office products.
  • Experience with Pro-Engineer, Creo, Windchill, Mentor Graphics, electrical system schematics and drawing interpretation.

Education

BS in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering required.
