Requisition Summary

Are you ready to make a direct impact in helping to shape our future? In this vital role, you will help facilitate the Technical Publications across our Peterbilt product portfolio.

You will bring the voice of the dealer service technicians to the RMI program to ensure useful documentation structure as the department adopts the Empolis Content Lifecycle System (CLS) and an internal Repair and Maintenance Information (RMI) system. You will partner with multiple departments to bring Peterbilt influence to the design, validation, and implementation phases of the RMI program. The RMI Aftersales SME is responsible for driving toward a successful program in the perspective of the dealer service impact.  

 

Job Functions / Responsibilities

  • Actively engage in the RMI program to be the Peterbilt Aftersales SME and voice of the customer, including workshop attendance
  • Act as a proxy to the Product Owner as needed for User Story validation/approval
  • Understand the full customer journey to define and create best practices for ensuring content is structured to best serve the dealer technicians
  • Work cross-divisionally and cross-functionally throughout the RMI program design, validation, and implementation phases
  • Partner directly with department Content Strategy and Publications Managers to ensure all required material is properly structured and published through our CLS and Repair and Maintenance Information (RMI) systems
  • Coordinate with a global team to successfully launch our RMI program

Required Qualifications & Skills

  • Dealer service experience desired
  • Experience with integration of service and parts to best assist our dealers for service jobs
  • Understanding of BOM compatibilities to drive toward proper RMI applicability definition
  • Technical aptitude and ability to succinctly communicate complicated topics
  • Perform in a fast-paced, results-oriented environment, and manage multiple priorities
  • Exceptional organization, attention to detail and time management skills
  • Interpersonal skills and a team-oriented mindset
  • Understanding of industry standards that directly impact technical publications
  • Continuous improvement and learning to support the evolution of our department
  • Motivated to provide high quality technical documentation for customers and dealers
