Requisition Summary

Peterbilt Motors Company, a PACCAR Company, has an opening for a Materials Logistics Intern to add to our Production Control team in Denton, Texas.

Job Functions / Responsibilities

This position will be working on various projects and reports to include but not limited to:

Dock Utilization Study

  • Evaluate the Use of the Docks today.
  • Consider the best use of Docks for the Plant Expansion
  • Develop a proposal to schedule loads and spread deliveries for better dock efficiencies.

Inventory Control Study

  • Evaluate MSS WMS Control
  • Packaging Studies
  • Rack Management

Optimized Freight Deliveries

  • Evaluate Incoming Loads for maximum utilization.
  • Look for opportunities to consolidate or reduce the frequency of shipments to fill out trailers.

DPU Reduction

  • Review Data
  • Identify Opportunities
  • Provide Recommendations

Plan for Every Part -

  • Assist the Team with Developing Plans for Project Implementations

Education

The candidate we seek will be currently enrolled in a Logistics, Business, or related Program and have completed their sophomore year of college.
