Requisition Summary
Peterbilt Motors Company, a PACCAR Company, has an opening for a Materials Logistics Intern to add to our Production Control team in Denton, Texas.
Job Functions / Responsibilities
This position will be working on various projects and reports to include but not limited to:
Dock Utilization Study
- Evaluate the Use of the Docks today.
- Consider the best use of Docks for the Plant Expansion
- Develop a proposal to schedule loads and spread deliveries for better dock efficiencies.
Inventory Control Study
- Evaluate MSS WMS Control
- Packaging Studies
- Rack Management
Optimized Freight Deliveries
- Evaluate Incoming Loads for maximum utilization.
- Look for opportunities to consolidate or reduce the frequency of shipments to fill out trailers.
DPU Reduction
- Review Data
- Identify Opportunities
- Provide Recommendations
Plan for Every Part -
- Assist the Team with Developing Plans for Project Implementations

Education
The candidate we seek will be currently enrolled in a Logistics, Business, or related Program and have completed their sophomore year of college.
