Requisition Summary
Peterbilt Motors Company, a PACCAR Company, has an opening for an Engineering Intern to add to our Division Applications Team in Denton, Texas.
Job Functions / Responsibilities
This position will be working on various projects and reports to include but not limited to:

Updating and adding information to the Engineering Data Book and Body Builder Manuals.

Responding to dealers, bodybuilders, and customers in a professional manner to meet or exceed their vehicle spec’ing needs.

Identifying options and alternatives to simplify and improve the chassis spec’ing process.

Creating quote chassis using the SmartSpec sales tool for customer quotes.

Providing vehicle weight information for use in SmartSpec and EASOP. Provide weight estimates to assist customers and dealers during the specification process.

Providing customer assistance on gearing recommendations to meet the customer’s powertrain optimization goals.

Participating in customer reviews as the technical resource supporting the Sales Department

Education
The candidate we seek will be currently enrolled in a Mechanical Engineering, or a related program.
