Requisition Summary
This position will be responsible for the development, management, and coordination of technical training throughout the PACCAR Engine Plant in Columbus MS. The Technical Training Coordinate will be responsible for interfacing with Department Manager to identify technical training gaps and working with external organizations to meet training and development needs. This position will also support continued development of (diesel, craft tech, etc.) programs.

Job Functions / Responsibilities

  • Identify Departmental Core Competencies and Establish technical training progression to maintain knowledge
  • Preforms training gap analysis for Engineering and Technician roles and develops curriculum to eliminate gaps
  • Defines available training opportunities utilizing both internal and external expertise
  • Coordinates regular training events according to developed curriculum
  • Supports internal Associate development programs through local Colleges and Universities
  • Develops technical training roadmaps to support cross departmental knowledge
  • Leads local training events for internal and external participants
  • Supports local outreach and interest events for Technical positions
  • This is not an all-inclusive list as other duties may be required of this position.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Bachelor's degree required
  • (4) to (6) year experience in a Technical or Manufacturing environment, desired
  • (2) years experience in technical curriculum development, preferred
  • Must have extensive knowledge with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Word.
  • Candidate must be able to operate independently and with little guidance.
  • Must be a positive contributor to a team environment required
  • Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Candidate must be self-motivated, well organized, and flexible
  • Ability to stay organized and effective time management are critical to role.
