Requisition Summary

This position will be responsible for leading Engine Plant initiatives to support Lean Manufacturing principles aligned with the PACCAR Production System (PPS). The PPS Coordinator will work directly with Engine Plant leadership progressing through the PPS Roadmap to establish and achieve records in all areas of performance.


Job Functions / Responsibilities

  • Leads Plant initiatives for PACCAR Production System (PPS) to achieve Plant Safety, Quality and delivery metrics.
  • Identifies, coordinates, and leads training and communications related to PPS.
  • Engages and Includes across all levels of the Organization to improve PPS culture development.
  • Develops, Maintains, and Drives plans for integration of PPS Core Building Blocks in all areas of PACCAR Engine Company
  • Interfaces across departments and divisions to drive alignment and improvements along the PPS Roadmap.
  • Mentors Associates through the use to Lean Six Sigma tools to support Continuous Improvement activities.
  • Accesses Plant performance according to defined metrics, identifies gaps and leads team based plant improvement events.
  • Develops and Maintains Manufacturing Engineering Standards and Procedures
  • Supports evaluation and development of Connected Manufacturing Technology to provide alignment to achieve Plant Metrics and Corporate vision.
  • Prepares and implements complex layouts and studies of plant and facility arrangements and manufacturing operations.
  • Supports capital budget and Six Sigma projects.
  • Facilitates effective communication to plant management on project status and strategic initiatives.



Qualifications & Skills

  • Education/Training Required: Bachelor Degree with extensive Lean Manufacturing Experience
  • Education/Training Preferred: Master degree in Engineering or MBA, Black Belt certification.
  • 10+ years Manufacturing experience with 5+ years of Team management
  • Experience with the practical application of Lean Manufacturing & Six Sigma Systems
  • Ability the Lead and Mentor through Team environment
  • Proven problem-solving skills. Excellent technical, verbal, written, and presentation skills. 
  • Ability to work in a self-directed environment.
