Requisition Summary

 

This role is responsible for coordinating product change projects for the Materials Department. This role will serve as a liaison between the different departments within the organization ensuring successful project implementation while minimizing implementation costs. 
 

Job Functions / Responsibilities

  • Coordinate the successful implementation of new projects
  • Monitor and track project new part release
  • Analyze and propose optimal implementation dates for new parts
  • Coordinate implementation dates with planners and suppliers to ensure on time delivery to assembly
  • Ensure new part availability
  • Review and ensure requirements are adequately reflected in Bill of materials
  • Review and ensure SAP is accurately calculating requirements
  • Ensure requirements are successfully transmitted to supply base
  • Generate E-buys for project parts
  • Develop strategies to minimize surplus and obsolete parts related to project parts
  • Build safety stock banks when necessary
  • Coordinate with Engineering, Purchasing and Quality to set up new parts in the system
  • Coordinate with other Divisions
  • Coordinate new part implementation with Material Handling (packaging, returnable containers)
  • Monitor, track and report project milestones and readiness
  • Support all material related activities associated to the project
  • Track and monitor S&O exposure
  • S&O mitigation strategies (return to vendor, rework, sales, etc)
  • Develop metrics to monitor project progress

 

Qualifications & Skills
 

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • 2+ years of Materials Experience in MRP/ERP/SAP environments is required 
  • Supplier Management Experience preferred
  • Education/Training Desired: MBA preferred, Black Belt certification
  • Language Skills: Preference is given to fluency in Dutch, German, Spanish, or French
  • Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Working knowledge of advanced systems and database management preferred
  • Experience working with high-performance work teams
  • Working knowledge of SAP in Planning and Material Handling required
  • Candidate must be able to operate independently and with little guidance
  • Must be a positive contributor to a team environment
  • Candidate must be self-motivated, well-organized, flexible, and able to handle the pressure of a high-volume operation
  • Ability to work flexible work schedule - shift may need to be earlier from time to time to support expediting parts from the European Union supply base
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Six-Sigma, Kaizen, and/or continuous improvement concepts, Six-Sigma Green Belt Or Black Belt training certification Preferred
