Requisition Summary


Using good maintenance management and execution practices, leads team in increasing asset reliability by performing predictive, preventive, corrective, and emergency work and supporting reliability-focused activities. These activities include work identification and prioritization, schedule management and coordination with production and other functions, precision work execution, documentation, trending, root cause analysis and correction/mitigation, and other standard maintenance practices and activities. This is a Weekend Shift Position.



Job Functions / Responsibilities


Directs maintenance technicians and contractors in attaining departmental and plant objectives.

  • Organizes and directs team in driving reliability of areas/equipment/plant-wide mechanical, pneumatic, electrical and control systems, as assigned.
  • Coordinates with Production, other functions, and contractors to ensure that all assigned structures and/or equipment are properly designed, installed, calibrated, aligned, lubricated, programmed, inspected, and repaired to restore as-new condition.
  • Leads team in identifying and correcting/mitigating root causes of equipment defects.
  • Leads team in collecting and reviewing data and history to identify, prioritize, and address improvement opportunities.
  • Recommends/initiates/supports and/or designs/implements improvements and modifications in methods, equipment, operating efficiency, and working conditions to increase efficiency, reduce costs, and improve reliability.
  • Plans, organizes, implements, and monitors procedures to meet maintenance schedules.
  • Supports the development of reliability-centered predictive and preventive maintenance programs, including maintenance check sheets, maintenance logic decision trees, predictive maintenance techniques and related engineering analyses.
  • Solicits bids, selects contractors, and coordinates with maintenance and production as required. 
  • Ensures that projects are completed within budget and on schedule.
  • Ensures that contractors follow all PACCAR safety requirements.
  • Coordinates and supervises predictive, preventive, and other maintenance activities, to include corrective actions and emergency repairs.
  • Maintains necessary records and documentation; prepares management reports as assigned.
  • Coordinates and maintains plant computerized energy management systems as assigned.
  • Oversee implementation and maintenance of computerized PLC and CNC programs.
  • Recommends capital expenditure improvements.
  • Works with ITD on continuous improvement of MES.
  • Determines proper staffing and training of assigned associates.
  • Leads and manages performance and safety of assigned associates.
  • Builds trust and enables others to be high performers in accordance with departmental and production objectives.
  • Performs other job duties as assigned.


Qualifications & Skills


  • B.S. Electrical, Mechanical, Industrial Engineering, or Business Management required.
  • Demonstrated managerial skills with at least five years of directly related experience.
  • Familiar with risk assessments and safety evaluations.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects with the flexibility to adapt to conflicting requirements.
  • Knowledge of city, state, and federal safety, electrical, and mechanical codes required.
  • Experience in managing multi-craft technicians.
  • As applicable to area of responsibility: Competent using Trane Tracer Summit to manage building systems. Familiar with Trane Chillers and HVAC units.
  • PLC programming using Siemens Step-7.
  • Demonstrated ability to create and interpret schematics and PLC programs to effectively trouble shoot systems.
  • Computer literacy in Microsoft Office, SAP, FlexNet, and AutoCAD desired.
  • 2 years hands on experience with equipment controls.
