JOB SUMMARY:

 

Direct and manage all CEP IT Applications and Operations Systems resources to achieve plant business objectives and maintain PACCAR standards for security and service level. Develop and support management strategies, objectives and goals, particularly those related to effective use and leveraging of information systems.   This position reports directly to the ITD Director for Peterbilt IT and dotted line to the Plant Manager PEC.  The range of interpersonal contact will include senior management and staff at PEC, Peterbilt, ITD Renton and other PACCAR divisions.

 

Job Functions / Responsibilities
 

  • Direct PEC team for information systems, infrastructure and data management; lead and develop IT Applications and Operations Systems staff
  • Identify and lead programs and projects necessary to maintain and build information technology infrastructure to support PEC business requirements
  • Develop and support management strategies, objectives and goals, particularly those related to effective use and leveraging of business systems
  • Participate and contribute on Plant IT Steering Committees (maintenance of IT roadmap, review business process and application change proposals)
  • Initiate and lead discussions with business, ITD and suppliers concerning plant plans, projects and technology solutions
  • Proactively identify opportunities for innovative, high-ROI technology solutions to reduce operating costs and improve product quality and delivery reliability.  Prepare Capital requests and implement as approved.
  • Prepare and manage to budget for Information Technology at PEC
  • Manage inventory and deployment of network equipment, PC’s, mobile computers, cell phones, remote access hardware and related equipment
  • Maintain and report department performance metrics
  • Assure implementation of ITD security standards
  • Review and approve requests related to access management, including SAP role changes
  • Plan, coordinate and lead business-side tasks related to systems projects, including testing and implementation of enhancements, changes and updates
  • Lead and participate in business process development, data analytics and improvement projects.
  • Direct development and delivery of cross-functional application training

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

 

  • Bachelor degree required; graduate degree desired. 
  • Five to eight years of management experience in information technology.  
  • Previous experience must demonstrate candidate has been a solid contributor in a team-oriented work environment, with management and project leadership experience. 
  • Candidate must have a working knowledge of IT infrastructure. 
  • ERP experience desired with SAP business system processes in a manufacturing and distribution environment a plus. 
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required. 
  • Six Sigma experience is desired.
