Summary

Performs all position welding on various sizes, shapes, and structures requiring a broad knowledge of welding technology. 

Job Functions / Responsibilities

• SELECTS WELDING PROCEDURES IN ACCORDANCE WITH TYPE OF WORK AND MATERIALS INVOLVED.
• WELDS ON ALL TYPES OF METALS AND ALLOYS IN VARIOUS SIZES, SHAPES AND ON DIVERSIFIED ASSEMBLIES, PRODUCTS OR STRUCTURES.
• PRODUCES WELDS SUBJECT TO X‑RAY ANALYSIS, MAGNAFLUX INSPECTION, DYE CHECK AND/OR GAS TIGHT PRESSURE OR OTHER TESTS.
• MAY SET UP, ADJUST AND OPERATE A VARIETY OF MACHINE TOOLS REQUIRING CLOSE TOLERANCE WORK; INSPECT OWN WORK FOR CONFORMANCE WITH SPECIFICATIONS, USING GAUGES, TEMPLATES OR OTHER MEASURING DEVICES.
• MAY PERFORM CERTIFIED WELDS IN ALL AREAS OF PLANT.
• NOTE:  MUST PASS WELDER QUALIFICATION TESTING
• PERFORMS OTHER RELATED DUTIES AS ASSIGNED.
• ATTENDANCE IS AN ESSENTIAL FUNCTION OF ANY POSITION.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Must pass welder qualification testing 
• Must possess an accredited welding certificate
• High school diploma or GED required
• Three‑five years related experience

The following documents must be uploaded with your resume to qualify for testing:

1) Certificate of completion from technical school

2) Welding Certificate

3) Verification of 3-5 years of weld experience (letter from previous employer/education entity stating weld experience)
