Division Information

Kenworth Truck Company is the manufacturer of The World’s Best® heavy and medium duty trucks. Here's what you will do in this role:

• Participate in the design and development of truck programs.

• Utilize Creo/Pro-E to create optimized part and assembly of moderate to complex designs requiring

independent judgment.

• Work with internal and external organizations to validate the designs.

• Utilize PACCAR and industry systems to manage the product implementation process, track costs, and

support new product introductions.

• Work closely with multiple PACCAR divisions.

 

Skills & Qualifications:

• BSME required.

• Prefer 2+ years industry-related background in the design and specification of heavy-duty trucks

• Knowledge of Creo/Pro-E or other solids modeling software required.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• Competency in the use of personal computer software including project management tools, word

processing, spreadsheets, and databases.

• Solid understanding in use of Design for Six Sigma and Six Sigma techniques.

• Willingness to learn and make use of new engineering processes and techniques and be resourceful in

solving complex technical problems.

• Past experience in product development and new product implementation necessary.

• Ability to work in a team environment.

• Candidates should have a willingness to grow personally and professionally and be results oriented.

Additional Job Board Information

The salary range for the Mechanical Design Engineer - Sustaining Structures and Interiors is $75,100 - $112,300 annually. This position is also eligible for a holiday gift. Additionally, this role is eligible for the full range of benefit options listed above.
