PACCAR Winch Inc in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma is seeking an organized, and self-motivated college student to support our Safety Team.  Preferences given to those in their Senior year or a recent graduate completing a Bachelors level degree in Safety.  This is a paid internship that could last 3-6 months.  Hours may be full-time or part-time based upon candidate availability and project deadlines. 

Position Summary:  Provided needed support to the Safety Manager and participate in the development and implementation of the department's core activities resulting in maximized organizational performance and efficiencies.  Accountable to assure that a safe and healthy working environment is maintained within the organization.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

  • Assists in the implementation and support of plant and corporate safety policies and procedures
  • Assist with manufacturing shop floor overhead crane inspections
  • Assist with forklift inspections
  • Perform noise measurements throughout the facility and update the manufacturing floor facility map
  • Update lockout tagout training requirements
  • Update safety procedures as assigned
  • Other duties as assigned

Internship Specifications:

  • Actively working toward completion of a Bachelor level degree in a Safety program
  • Fundamental knowledge of OSHA regulations
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Proficiency in MS Word, Excel and Outlook
  • Ability to organize and maintain filing systems, electronic and manual
