We have locations in Broken Arrow and Okmulgee, Oklahoma. Our business is growing and we are seeking an experienced General Shop Supervisor. This position is located in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma.

Summary:
Directs line supervisory personnel in several manufacturing, service or maintenance departments to attain production and quality objectives. Serves as PPS coordinator for the Plant and leads lean initiatives in the shop.
Essential Functions / Responsibilities:
- Assigns work indirectly to hourly or salaried shop personnel by instructing general shop supervisors and/or shop supervisors, in accordance with production objectives.
- Develops and implements policies and procedures to meet production schedules, approving and directing improvements in production methods, equipment, operating efficiency and working conditions.
- Directs assigned supervisory personnel to ensure proper staffing, training, development, motivation and safety.
- Approves or refers personnel actions including promotions, transfers, disciplinary measures, etc., in accordance with Company policies and procedures and/or labor contract provisions.
- Trains and develops Supervisory personnel in Company policies/procedures and best practices in achieving plant goals and objectives. Carries out evaluations and development plans for Supervisors establishing accountability for measurable results and objectives.
- Lead recall efforts with Chief Steward.
- Lead in resolution of grievances.
- Hands-on leader of PPS initiatives for the Plant. Works with PPS team members to ensure assignments are carried out and program goals are met.
- Serves as a champion for leading lean activities throughout the plant. Works closely with divisional Six Sigma Coordinator and other partners in establishing lean priorities, ensuring appropriate training is completed and meeting overall program objectives.
- Fill in for Area Supervisors on absences.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in an appropriate major is strongly preferred
- Relevant managerial and leadership skills demonstrated through a minimum of five (5) years of closely related experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Graduate Degree in an appropriate major is preferred,
- Lean Manufacturing certification is highly preferred along with current work experience using lean concepts in a manufacturing environment.
- Preferably possessing two (2) years of experience with PACCAR Inc.
