PACCAR WINCH Inc is a wholly owned subsidiary of PACCAR.  PACCAR Winch Inc manufactures high quality industrial winches, hoists, and drives for the oil/gas, construction, utility and specialty markets.   We have locations in Broken Arrow and Okmulgee, Oklahoma.  Our business is growing, and we are seeking an experienced Cost Accounting Manager to join our TEAM.  This position is on-site and located in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma.

Cost Accounting Manager Job Summary:

This position reports to the Assistant Controller and will provide the ideal candidate the opportunity to demonstrate their ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage the cost accounting personnel along with the day-to-day costing activities in support of manufacturing operations.

Essential Functions / Responsibilities:        


  • Provide leadership on the standard costing process and to make refinements and necessary corrections to the existing costing methods.
  • Evaluate new costing and reporting methods; aids in the development and implementation of new tools to enable improved costing accuracy, reporting, and reduction of cost.
  • Manages range of inventory accounting responsibilities (inventory valuations, statistical inventories and internal cycle count control reviews, annual physical audits, ensure accurate inventory records, and work with operations on optimal inventory levels and that surplus and obsolete exposure is minimized) ensuring that policies and procedures of PACCAR Inc. are effective and operating.
  • Plan and manage the periodic (annual & quarterly) review and roll of the product unit standard costs.
  • Drive proactive analysis/investigations into trends of variances and cost drivers related to manufacturing products.
  • Prepare monthly journal entries, schedules (i.e., Sales, Gross Margin, Variances), and account reconciliations.
  • Prepares cost estimates of new or special products for establishing selling prices and production forecasts.
  • Perform internal control process reviews as assigned by accounting department.
  • Coordinate Quarterly/Yearend closing activities (i.e., 10Q/10K, tax and other corporate requests for information).
  • Train, develop, and retain a well-qualified staff through the execution of a plan which includes recruitment, internal promotion, and evaluations.
  • Other duties as assigned by accounting department.


  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting
  • 5+ years Accounting experience
  • 2+ years managing/supervising teams
  • Solid understand of US Generally Accepted Accounting Principles

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Prior experience in manufacturing environment
  • Experience using AS400/Infinium or SAP

Technical Skills:

  • Outstanding written, verbal, problem solving, and interpersonal skills
  • Strong organizational skills required with the ability to work independently, overseeing multiple tasks, and changing priorities while meeting non-negotiable deadlines
  • Excellent analytical capabilities and attention to detail with a “big picture” focus
  • Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Office applications (Access, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word)
