PACCAR Corporate Emission Compliance team is looking for Zero Emission Powertrain (ZEP) Certification Engineer.


This role will be leading the CARB and EPA Zero Emission Powertrain (ZEP) Certification and Compliance.  This role also involves interaction throughout the PACCAR organization including Peterbilt, Kenworth, PTC, as well as agency interaction with EPA, CARB and industrial organizations, such as EMA.






  • Submit Certification Applications to CARB and EPA 
  • Submit Compliance Reports CARB and EPA
  • Lead ZEP Labeling and Serialization Process
  • Understand CARB and EPA existing and upcoming ZEP Regulations
  • Actively participate in EPA, CARB and EMA meetings on ZEP, Advanced Clean Trucks (ACT) and Advanced Clean Fleets (ACF)
  • Work with cross-functional teams within the organization as well as with external supplier
  • Provide weekly updates and attend team meetings
  • Act as subject matter expert for PACCAR in the zero-emission compliance sector
  • Support various emission credit tracking and reporting activities.






  • Minimum Bachelor’s degree required.
  • Minimum 3 years of industry-related knowledge including an understanding of EPA and CARB regulations
  • Understanding of Electric Truck architecture and function with eMotor, eAxle, and ePowertrain desired
  • Self-starter who effectively works under limited supervision
  • Good PC skills, including proficiency in Excel, Word, PowerPoint
  • Basic knowledge of GHG credits and projections
