Job Functions and Responsibilities

 

Treasury Management System

  • Primary point of contact with 3rd party systems providers and internal IT department to ensure availability of treasury management systems (Quantum and FXall) and derivatives accounting / management system (Bloomberg).
  • Run month-end Treasury accounting process in Bloomberg and Quantum for global PACCAR entities.
  • Serve as a key point of contact to ensure market data, static data and user access are complete and accurate in Quantum and Reval systems.
  • Serve as a key point of contact for system enhancements and upgrades.


Accounting and Financial Reporting

  • Assist with external financial reporting of 10-Qs and 10-K, including preparing/reviewing derivative footnote, market risk disclosures and other footnote disclosures.
  • Act as primary contact with internal and external auditors related to derivative accounting and disclosures.
  • Review/update derivative policies to ensure completeness, accuracy and compliance with U.S. GAAP and IFRS.
  • Review various Treasury transactions and research applicable accounting guidance to determine appropriate accounting treatment under U.S. GAAP and IFRS.
  • Partner with Treasury in development of hedging programs and practices.
  • Assist with preparation of monthly internal management reports.

 

Controls and Other

  • Review derivative accounting processes and systems to ensure key controls are in place and performing as intended to ensure compliance with internal audit and SOX requirements.
  • Conduct quarterly derivative and hedging committee meeting.
  • Other projects supporting global Treasury teams as assigned.

 

 

Qualifications and Skills

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

 

  • BS / BA in Accounting. Seven to ten years of progressive accounting experience, with a minimum of 3 to 4 years of accounting for derivatives.
  • Strong background in hedge accounting requirements under U.S. GAAP and IFRS.
  • Knowledge of valuation concepts for various types of financial instruments (interest rate swaps, cross currency swaps, foreign exchange contracts, embedded derivatives, etc.).
  • Experience with treasury workstations (Quantum, FXall, Bloomberg).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft office software packages including Excel, Word, Access and PowerPoint.
    Strong analytical skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.

 

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • MBA, CPA and/or CFA strongly preferred.
