Requisition Summary

The Travel Operations Manager will be responsible for the ongoing support of key programs within Travel, Expense, HR, and Professional Services. This role serves as the key point of contact and functional resource and will understand, enhance and promote policies and internal controls and pursue continuous improvement. The position requires someone with a positive attitude, confident demeanor, and excellent communication skills, who is able to provide a high level of customer service to all internal and external contacts.


This role will provide reporting on policy compliance and procedures that focus on opportunities and will also work directly with suppliers to ensure program requirements are met. 


The successful candidate will demonstrate outstanding time management and organizational skills, and the ability to run multiple projects/tasks simultaneously. The selected candidate will have good interpersonal skills as well as a focus on providing excellent customer service and will be analytical in nature and detail-oriented. The ideal candidate will also have excellent organizational skills and the ability to work independently and as a team member in a fast-paced, multifaceted, professional environment.

Job Functions / Responsibilities

  • Work closely with Commodity Managers to understand programs, tools, and contract terms
  • Own the daily operations and program strategy to control costs and mitigate risk
  • Provide prompt support to customer base on a variety of issues by responding to telephone calls, emails, and “in-office” requests. Log requests and escalate as necessary
  • Understand and explain features and benefits as it relates to customer needs
  • Meet or exceed customer expectations by anticipating and resolving issues
  • Collaborate with other departments (e.g. Accounting, HR, Legal, Operations, Internal Audit) to support key deliverables
  • Act as liaison between Global Travel Suppliers (Air, Car, Hotel, etc.) and end-users to support the global strategies and performance
  • Primary administrator for Concur Travel & Expense tool and Corporate Card programs, including reporting, audit-rules, account-coding, negotiated rate loading, third-party integration, and internal controls, email reminders, custom messaging, etc.
  • Analyze travel and expense data from multiple sources, tracking KPI’s to help support travel initiatives
  • Manage system tools, user interface, and integrations, including training and implementations 
  • Develop and deliver traveler communication, training, and education, to ensure understanding of processes, procedures, and policy compliance
  • Use strong communication, presentation and influencing skills to identify issues, negotiate proposed solutions, present to key stakeholders and implement solutions
  • Identify savings opportunities and service enhancements, initiate process improvements, and deploy benchmarking-generated best practices
  • Implement, execute, and measure the results of program strategies and associated cost savings
  • Maintain strong knowledge of industry best practices, emerging trends, and new technologies that bring enhanced efficiencies to PACCAR
  • Participate in SOX-related activities and compliance audits
  • Communicate and conduct meetings and formal presentations with suppliers and PACCAR personnel at all levels of management
  • Perform additional responsibilities as requested to achieve business objectives

  • Prior experience with Concur tool administration preferred
  • Experience with Shared Service environment is a plus


  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • 3-5 years of related experience required
