Job Functions / Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain databases, including processing data and making modifications to meet business needs.
  • Build and maintain systems to process data, provide analytics and metrics, conduct audits, and develop reports.
  • Perform data analysis and reporting on large datasets from multiple sources.
  • Establish connectivity and provide access to multiple data sources.
  • Develop and run processes to extract, clean, merge, transform and compile data from various data sources.
  • Schedule or run jobs to push or extract data to/from internal divisions or 3rd party systems.
  • Create functional dashboards and metrics in cloud-based or other tools.
  • Solve highly technical and complex problems.
  • Other duties and projects as assigned.

Qualifications

  • 5 years’ experience with 2+ years’ experience in data engineering or related fields, demonstrating strong technical skills and problem-solving abilities.
  • 2+ years’ experience with  SQL, AWS, Python, R, Java, C#, Qlik Attunity, GitHub, Snowflake, and/or statistical modeling or machine learning.
  • Experience with reporting tools such as Sigma and Tableau to create insightful and interactive data visualizations.
  • Experience building production-grade data pipelines capable of handling large volumes of data from multiple heterogeneous sources.
  • Experience developing code for highly scalable and high availability solutions.
  • Superior analytical and problem-solving skills. 
  • Ability to understand complex business requirements and turn them into technical requirements/code.
  • Experience working with projects in a highly collaborative, multi-disciplined team environment.
  • Ability to maintain high level of quality while working under pressure and deadlines.
  • Ability to work well with others and independently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills. 
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office products including Excel, Word, Access, and PowerPoint.

Education

Bachelor’s degree required in computer science or a related field (statistics, data analytics, etc.).
