Requisition Summary
The PACCAR Corporate Development department is responsible for analyzing and executing mergers and acquisition opportunities, strategic planning and investor relations. The Mergers & Acquisitions Senior Analyst will conduct industry, competitive and target analyses to source mergers & acquisitions opportunities, evaluate target options, and map PACCAR strategies to potential targets. The role will perform financial modeling, valuation, deal structuring and due diligence. The transactions will include acquisitions, minority investments, joint ventures and complex commercial partnerships.
Job Functions / Responsibilities
- Industry and target analysis to source M&A opportunities and evaluate target options
- Map PACCAR strategies to potential M&A targets
- Lead financial modeling and valuation
- Due diligence and integration planning
- Assist in managing M&A projects through executive and board approval process
- Assist in deal structuring and negotiations
- Assist in developing relevant industry and service provider relationships to support the above responsibilities
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications & Skills
- Minimum of 3 years of mergers and acquisitions experience that includes strategic analysis, modeling, valuation, due diligence, risk identification, deal structuring and negotiations
- Vehicle, machinery and/or technology industry expertise
- Maturity and judgment to interact with C-level executives at targets and within PACCAR
- Strong finance, strategy, critical thinking and analytical skills, including the ability to draw succinct conclusions from complex data
- Strong work ethic, drive for results and attention to detail
- Intellectually curious and comfortable navigating ambiguity
- Excellent business writing and communication skills
- A minimum of a bachelor’s degree in Economics, Finance or other relevant discipline is preferred

Additionally, this role is eligible for the full range of benefit options listed above.
