Requisition Summary
This position manages and drives improvements for North American trade compliance for PACCAR Inc. and its Divisions. The successful candidate will manage a team of trade compliance professionals and service providers focused on minimizing or eliminating duty costs and trade risks and maximizing duty refunds. This role also supports the implementation of PACCAR’s new trade compliance system, SAP GTS.

Job Functions / Responsibilities
- Manage strategic risk assessment and audit functions to ensure regulatory compliance with all relevant countries.
- Follow and report on trade actions and provide strategic insights including impact analysis and forecasting.
- Manage the international compliance team, brokers, and service providers with responsibility for U.S., Canada and Mexico import and export compliance for North American divisions.
- Ensure business partners are meeting/exceeding established Key Performance Indicators (KPI).
- Manage part classifications and team to ensure parts are classified accurately and timely to avoid border crossing delays and entry errors.
- Support SAP GTS implementation, training, and maintenance
- Manage post entry activities including post entry corrections, protests, reconciliation, and prior disclosures.
- Manage the duty savings and refund programs and team, including USMCA and other Free Trade Agreements, Duty Drawback, CBSA Annex 9963, etc..
- Determine and implement other duty savings programs PACCAR is eligible for.
Qualifications
- Licensed U.S. Customs Broker required.
- 8+ years of experience with 5+ years of experience in Trade Compliance required.
- Strong working knowledge of U.S. and Canada Customs laws.
- Ability to manage a fast paced, customer service-based department.
- 2+ years of experience managing teams and service providers.
- Motivated self-starter with excellent interpersonal, verbal, written and presentation skills.
- Ability to travel both domestically and internationally.
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Logistics or International related field required.
