Requisition Summary
This position manages and drives improvements for North American trade compliance for PACCAR Inc. and its Divisions. The successful candidate will manage a team of trade compliance professionals and service providers focused on minimizing or eliminating duty costs and trade risks and maximizing duty refunds. This role also supports the implementation of PACCAR’s new trade compliance system, SAP GTS.
Job Functions / Responsibilities
- Manage the USMCA program including supplier solicitations, manufactured part qualifications, and USMCA government reporting requirements.
- Manage Free Trade Agreement (FTA) solicitations for all FTA’s PACCAR utilizes.
- Manage USMCA certification validation and auditing with suppliers and business partners for Regional Value Content (RVC), Labor Value Content (LVC), Steel and Aluminum.
- Develop and employ strategies to ensure PACCAR products continue to qualify for USMCA as requirements increase.
- Facilitate strategic USMCA sourcing decisions with Purchasing.
- Conduct feasibility study of USMCA Intermediate Material.
- Provide ongoing USMCA training to Purchasing and other departments.
- Ensure business partners are meeting/exceeding established KPI’s.
- Manage SAP GTS implementation, training, and maintenance.
- Manage duty savings and refund programs.
- Report on FTA solicitations and USMCA qualification to upper management.
Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Logistics or International related field required.
- Licensed U.S. Customs Broker required.
- 5 years of experience in Trade Compliance preferred.
- Strong working knowledge of U.S. and Canada Customs laws.
- Ability to manage a fast paced, customer service-based department.
- Experience managing teams and service providers.
- Motivated initiative-taker with excellent interpersonal, verbal, written and presentation skills.
- Ability to travel both domestically and internationally.
