Requisition Summary
The HR Operations Specialist provides administrative and operational support for Human Resources programs and processes. This role is responsible for maintaining employee data, processing HR transactions, preparin routine reports, supporting compliance activities and assisting with employee programs. The HR Operations Specialist partners with HR team members, finance and business stakeholders to ensure HR processes are completed accurately, efficiently and in a timely manner.
Job Functions / Responsibilities
- Prepare and distribute routine and ad hoc HR reports, including headcount, workforce, salary and audit reports
- Maintain employee records and ensure data accuracy across HR systems, reports and databases
- Process and track employment verification requests and assist with unemployment claims administration
- Assist with state and federal compliance reporting requirements, including new hire reporting
- Process HR-related vendor invoices and maintain supporting documentation
- Administer employee programs such as tuition reimbursement and support other HR initiatives as assigned
- Support HR document management processes, including electronic signature workflows, filing, record retention and SharePoint updates
- Compile workforce data and prepare reports for HR leaders and business stakeholders
- Assist in maintaining standard operating procedures and identifying opportunities to improve HR processes and reporting
- Support internal audits, compliance reviews and data validation activities
- Provide administrative support for special HR projects and other duties as assigned
Qualifications/Skills
• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 0-2 years of experience in Human Resources, administrative support, operations, payroll, or a related field.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy.
• Excellent organizational, time management, and prioritization skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism and discretion.
• Customer-service orientation with the ability to work effectively with employees at all levels.
• Ability to learn new systems, processes, and technologies quickly.
• Experience with HRIS systems or reporting tools is a plus.
Preferred Qualifications
• Internship or prior experience in Human Resources, Payroll, Operations, or Administrative Support.
• Basic knowledge of HR practices, employment laws, and compliance requirements.
• SHRM-CP or aPHR certification eligibility or interest in pursuing certification.

Additionally, this role is eligible for a full range of benefit options listed above.
