Requisition Summary

This position is part of the Business Systems group in PACCAR Purchasing. The Global Purchasing System Manager’s role is to provide business systems expertise in the support of the expansion of the Global PACCAR Purchasing System (GPPS).

Job Functions / Responsibilities

Provide business process and commodity expertise to the GPPS expansion project (NA and EU).  Candidates will extensively interface with ITD and Purchasing personnel in NA and EU to ensure business processes are documented, transferred and enabled in the GPPS.  Candidates will identify best practices globally and incorporate those in the project deliverables and in the Business Systems roadmap. This position requires an experienced Purchasing professional that has commodity experience and business systems knowledge.

 

Daily activities in support of this mission include:

  • Coordination of activities with GPPS expansion project team (ITD and Purchasing).
  • Document business processes and plans for a successful implementation of GPPS expansion plans.
  • Coordinate with the project team to ensure UAT is performed successfully.
  • Coordinate with the team to prepare training documents.
  • Communicate Project status updates as needed.
  • Ensure Purchasing procedures are followed throughout the transition.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Deep knowledge of Commodity Management and Purchasing processes.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with business partners globally.
  • Knowledge of PACCAR Purchasing System (SAP SRM) and of SAP Business Warehouse Report Writing.
  • Knowledge of Project Management.
  • Creative, quality and results-driven work ethic.
  • Demonstrated leadership to incorporate and deploy best practices globally.
  • Excellent communication skills – written, verbal, & presentation.
  • Advanced PC skills required (Word, Excel, Access, & PowerPoint).

Education

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Engineering, Finance, or related field is required. 
  • Masters or MBA preferred.
