Requisition Summary
The Continuous Improvement Project Manager will be a change agent for innovation and process improvement and a key member of the Corporate Division Controller’s Organization responsible for leading and coordinating process improvement projects for Corporate, PACCAR Financial, PACCAR Leasing and PACCAR Technical Center. The Manager will actively foster creative thinking and a healthy environment of Continuous Improvement by mentoring employees in problem-solving techniques. They will work as business partner with the department managers and senior staff to lead key improvement projects and to help achieve the needs of the business. This position will report to the Corporate Accounting Controller.
Job Functions / Responsibilities
- Lead major continuous improvement initiatives for Corporate, PACCAR Financial PACCAR Leasing and PACCAR Technical Center Accounting teams.
- Lead the continuous improvement formal training, which might include the instruction of classes and class logistics.
- Work with accounting teams to align Lean and/or Six Sigma projects with division business objectives.
- Provide analysis and feedback to senior management on project activities, improvements, and savings.
- Responsible for the transfer of best practices, techniques, procedures, and tools to accounting teams and other process improvement teams to help reduce costs and improve performance.
- Challenge conventional wisdom by demonstrating the successful application of new methodologies to improve cost, product and process quality.
- Responsible for timely preparation of project completion reports including savings and filing required Six Sigma paperwork for eligible projects.
- Support Company-wide Controller’s Organization process improvement initiatives including participating in periodic meetings as the Process Improvement Coordinator for Corporate, PFC, PLC and PTC.
- Actively participate in special projects utilizing lean tools and analytical skills to make recommendations.
Qualifications & Skills

• Proven team leadership, project management and negotiation skills
• Strong quantitative or analytical and computer skills in Excel (i.e. pivot tables, macros, charts and graphs) and data analytic tools (i.e. PowerBI, Alteryx, Tableau, Power Query etc.).
• Excellent interpersonal, communication and presentation skills; including effective written and verbal skills and the ability to work in a team environment.
• High energy, self-motivated problem solver with ability to work independently and under pressure with deadlines, handling multiple tasks and/or projects and shifting priorities.
• Positive attitude and “can-do” approach to issue resolution.
Education/Experience Required:
- Bachelor’s degree required
- 5+ years of increasing responsibility in a continuous improvement or Six Sigma role
Education/Experience Desired:
- Certified Lean Belt or Black Belt
- MBA Preferred
- SAP experience a plus

Additionally, this role is eligible for the full range of benefit options listed above.
