REQUISITION SUMMARY

The Assistant Director of Financial Reporting is responsible for researching technical accounting transactions for management and global controllers group, ensuring the Company’s accounting policies remain current, and assisting with the preparation and filing of quarterly and annual 10-Q and 10-K with the SEC. Responsibilities also include being the lead support for lessee accounting and providing support to Corporate Accounting and Senior Accounting management on an ad-hoc basis. Position reports to the Director of Financial Reporting within Corporate Accounting.  

 

 

JOB FUNCTIONS/RESPONSIBILITIES 

  • Provide technical accounting research and consultation on significant, complex and non-routine accounting transactions to management and global controllers group
  • Prepare technical U.S. GAAP and SEC research and position papers
  • Lead the adoption of new accounting pronouncements
  • Monitor emerging U.S. GAAP and evaluate the impact to the Company
  • Update and maintain accounting policies and procedures
  • Support global accounting departments with lessee accounting matters and software maintenance
  • Assist with the preparation and review of the quarterly and annual SEC Forms 10-Q and 10-K
  • Support Senior Accounting management and Corporate Accounting
  • Assist or manage various ad-hoc projects and special assignments

 

SKILLS REQUIRED

  • Strong technical and analytical accounting skills with intermediate to advanced computer skills in Excel (i.e. pivot tables, macros, charts and graphs) and data analytic tools (i.e. Tableau, PowerBI etc.)
  • Ability to communicate complex accounting issues at an executive level
  • Ability to work independently and self-motivated, handling multiple tasks and shifting priorities in a team environment
  • Exceptional interpersonal, communication and organizational skills, with strong attention to detail

 

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Degree in Accounting is required and advanced degree is preferred
  • CPA certification
  • 7+ years relevant work experience is preferred
  • Strong working knowledge of SEC rules and regulations
  • Public accounting and industry experience with multinational publicly traded company preferred

The salary range for Assistant Director of Financial Reporting - Policy is $106,300 - $166,300 annually. Additionally, this role is eligible for the full range of benefit options listed above.
